1st Samuel 18:3 “Jonathan made a covenant with
David, because he loved him as his own soul.”
Today, there are many reasons why
independent ministers should become affiliated with a larger fellowship
group. Perhaps you have considered the
benefits of such a relationship yourself.
Have you ever looked around and desired a true friend in ministry? Someone who would understand you? Another person in ministry who has felt what
you feel, and has gone through much of what you have?
Out of a personal, negative
experience, God revealed to me a ministry that I call Jonathan. This is not an organization, but a
fellowship. At a time when I truly
needed a friend to understand and encouragement, God sent that special
person. Since that time, Jonathan
Fellowship has become a source of encouragement to churches across the
country. We would like to extend an
invitation for you to come and let us get to know you. Our desire is to be your friend and help you
reach your greatest potential. This
fellowship is to bring you together with other men and women in ministry who
will become your Jonathan; a person willing to give of themselves so that you
may have victory.
- Mutual encouragement
- Security for the flock
- Seasoned counsel
- On-going training
What we believe:
Jonathan is an evangelical, fundamental, full Gospel
association of five-fold ministries joined for the purpose of advancing the
Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Most
importantly, we believe that every person is reconciled to God through simple
faith and personal commitment. Although
not necessary for salvation, we also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit,
available to every believer and vital for victory and power in Christian
We believe in the inherency of the scripture and the bodily
return of Christ to rapture His church, in the ordinances of water baptism by
immersion, in the Lord’s Supper, and in the separation of believers from the
ways of the world. We further believe
that the New Testament church is apostolic in nature, that the ordained
officers of the church are apostles, prophets, evangelists, Pastors and
teachers, and that the local ordained elders are to assist the Pastor.
We do not seek to debate with those who differ on peripheral
issues of doctrine. Rather, we seek to
stand together with the whole body of Christ to proclaim His Gospel and Kingdom
until He returns.
